PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
PATERANGI CHARGE The annual meeting of the Paterangi Presbyterian Church was held last week, when the Rev. Butterworth, moderator, presided over a representative gathering. The various reports were read by the following:—Session, Mr. W. <J. Macky; managers, Mr. E. Bowerman. The general church activities in their various districts were submitted by Mr. J. J. Ryburn (Nghahinapouri), Mr. Sanson (Ohaupo), Mr. Arthur (Te Pahuj, and Mr. Bell (Te Rore). Reference was made to the good work carried out by the Rev. A. Hardie, and Mr. P. J. Mairs, who had filled the vacancy for several months. The treasurer’s statement allowed a deficit. During the year Ohaupo had raised £l5O toward' the final payments on the new church, and arrangements were being made for an official opening at an early date. The ladies of the P.W.M.U. and Guild had come forward at the meeting with a voluntary offer to raise £4O in the coming year.
