A SERIOUS CHARGE
MAN REMANDED HEAVY BAIL FIXED Arthur Herbert Eden, aged 39. was charged at the Police Court this morning with having assaulted a young woman with intent to commit rape. Chief-Detective Cummings applied for a remand until July 29. Mr. Singer, who appeared for accused, asked for bail. The Chief Detective: It should be substantial —there are some bad features in this case. The remand was made, bail being fixed at £350.
