ON THE ’CHANGE

A WEAK MARKET N.S.W. AT £45/2/6 A depressed tone prevails on the ’Change for most classes of stocks. The market generally is weak, with several parcels of scrip passing at several points below last week’s parity. The banking section is active, but with the exception of Commercial of Australia, the market is weak. New South Wales were dealt with at £45 2s 6d, and National of New Zealand at £6 16s 6d. Coals are in good tone and Taupiris have firmed to see a sale of ordinary shares at £ 1 4s 6d. Mining is weak, with Waihis the only scrip passing on a firm market. The trend continues downward.
