HOSKIN RETURNS TO GAOL ADDING TO HIS LIST “In 1924 the Prisons Board in its wisdom decided to release this man from a sentence he was then serving,” said His Honour Mr. Justice Herdm an in sentencing Cyril Albert Hoskin to a term of imprisonment this morning, and also declaring him an habitual criminal. The prisoner had appeared for sentence on 10 charges of false pretences. Since then, said His Honour, he h;.s committed no less than 10 crimes in obtaining monev bv false pretences. “You will again be declared an habitual criminal and sentenced to two years* imprisonment.” added His Honour. Basil Tyler, who appeared for sentence on six charges of a similar nature, received a like term.
