AMERICAN HEAT-WAVE
OVER 100 DEATHS Reed. 9.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Friday. The heat wave has not abated. It has now caused 110 deaths, of which 80 are directly attributed to prostration. Thunder-showers over the eastern States caused temporary relief during the night, but the temperature rapidly rose during the day, equalling that of the previous day. — N.z.
