CHURCH OF CHRIST LEADER ARRIVING

AMERICAN EVANGELIST MR. JESSE BADER’S MISSION Mr. Jesse M. Bader, secretary of evangelism for the United Christian Missionary Society of the Disciples of Christ, and an outstanding leader in his communion, will arrive in Auckland on Monday by the Maunganui. He will attend the half-yearly provincial convention of the Auckland Churches of Christ before proceeding South later in the week. A public meeting has been arranged for Monday night, at which Mr. Bader will speak. The chairman will be Mr. J. G. Bell. The chairman 6f the young people’s gathering the following day, at which he will also deliver an address, will be Mr. Glaister.

Mr. Bader called to the service of the United Society from a pastorate seven years ago. He has been actively engaged in a five years’ evangelistic campaign, which is said to have resulted in the addition of nearly 1,000.000 members to the Churches of Christ.

He is general secretary of the National Evangelistic Association, and executive secretary of the committee of the 1900th anniversary of Pentecost of the Disciples of Christ.
