TO-NIGHT’S CONCERT The famous polish pianist, Ignaz Friedman, arrived yesterday morning and will give his first concert at the Town Hall this evening, under the direction of E. J. Carroll. A very great amount of interest is attached to the visit of this distinguished artist, who is aptly styled

“The Colossus of the Piano,” and he is certain of a very hearty welcome when he steps on the platform of the Town Hall this evening. Friedman comes to us at the j very zenith of his fame and power, and a glance at the programme to be submitted this evening will convince all music lovers that there is

a veritable musical feast in fetore. The printed programme numbers include Rondo (Hummel), Rondo (Mozart), the 24 Brahms Variations (Handel theme) and the following Chopin works: Polonaise B flat major, waltz in E flat, mazurka, B minor; Ballade, G minor; three studies, in octaves, double thirds and black keys; “Tabatiere A Musique,” Friedman; the Liszt Nocturn Liebestraum and Campanella, and the Liszt-Schubert Serenade. In addition to the above, other special numbers are promised. Patrons are requested to note that the box plan for to-night’s concert will be at Lewis R. Eady and Son, Ltd., till noon, and after at Coleman’s, tobacconist, H.M. Arcade, where 5s day sale tickets may be obtained. The 2s 6d tickets will be sold at the hall only.
