DEEP-SEA FISHING
ANNUAL CLUB MEETING The annual meeting of the Bay of Islands Swordfish and Mako Shark Club was at Russell yesterday evening. The report showed a successful year. The following officers were elected: —Patron, Mr. Allen Bell, M.P.; president, Mr. E. Bissett; secretary, Mr. J. P. English: vice-presi-dents, the Hon. Vernon Reed, Dr. Hosking, Messrs. C. Baker and J. S. Strawbridge; committee. Messrs. E. Fuller, L. Warne. T. R. Clow. W. P. Baker. P. Cross, H. Fuller. A. Neumann. F. B. Mabin, E. C. Arlidge; auditor, Mr. J. Armitage; official reporter. Mr. Allan Neumann: photographer, Mr. F. Baker. Mr. E. C. Arlidge, having resigned the secretaryship, was made a life member.
