WHAU BRIDGE COLLISION

FAMILY INJURED Through a collision on the Whau Bridge at Avondale between a motorlorry and a truck, the three occupants of the latter received severe cuts and abrasions, necessitating their removal to the Auckland Hospital. As the truck, driven by Mr. Perry, of Avondale, was crossing the bridge it collided with the lorry, breaking the windscreen and otherwise damaging the body work. Mr. Perry, his wife and a child were all cut and bruised. The hospital authorities report that the injured family is progressing satisfactorily, and will be discharged today.
