FRANKTON JUNCTION
A BUSY CENTRE With an average of 80 trains a day and 15 miles of side tracks in the station yard, it can be easily recognised that Frankton Junction is a busy railway centre. The figures for the year ending March 31, 1927, with the corresponding figures for the previous year in parentheses, are: Cattle, 9,441 (8,010); sheep and pi gs , 105,073 (89,214); timber, 5,794 tons (437 tons); general merchandise, 15,176 ton-* (I t"° tons) - The revenue was £ 39,984 13s 9d. compared with £30,880 18s lOd for the preceding year. Recently extensive improvements were carried out.
