FIRE-ENDANGERED FLAT

An exciting experience befel Sir James Parr, High Commissioner for New Zealand, and Lady Parr late last night. A fire broke out in a building in the Strand adjoining their flat in the New Zealand Buildings. It was considered advisable to take Lady Parr to a place of safety on the ground floor. The outbreak was quickly checked.
