WHANGAREI BANKRUPTCY
WHANGAREI, To-day. At Whangarei yesterday, a meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of Oliver Resdale Barton, of Whanearei was held in the office of Mr. E. p Ramsey the deputy-official assignee. The statement showed £242 12s fid owinK to unsecured creditors, the only asset being a quantity of gum valued at £l4 The sum of £B7o Is 5d was dee to the State Advances Department on a house property. There was also a mortgage of £BSO. . Bankrupt said that practically all his debts were incurred during one year when he was in business as a carrier. A day-book had been kept, but it had been mislaid. Hhe had paid an instalment of £25 on his Kin S S £® et prP o ’ perty, which was insured for £BOO. During the past three years he had been mislaid. He had paid an installabourer. He had also been gum-dig-Bankrupt said that he could make no offer to his creditors, and the meeting was adjourned sine die.
