POKENO-PAEROA RAILWAY
NO MONEY AVAILABLE Sometime ago the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce asked the Government to proceed with the Pokeno-Paeroa railway. The chamber has received the following reply from the Hon. K. S. Williams, Minister of Public Works “I regret that on account of the already very heavy commitments in connec. tion with railway construction work it will not be possible to include in the railway estimates for this financial year any provision for this work."
