NEW ENGINES ORDERED

Intense pleasure was experienced at Thames last evening when a telegram was received from Mr. T. W. Rhodes, M.P., stating that in view of the seridus unemployment existing the Government had authorised the construction of three WF engines by Messrs. A. and G. Price. This should prevent dismissals, and enable some men to be re-employed. The firm mentioned received a similar telegram, but owing to the managing director, Mr. Will Price, being absent for a day or two, no further information is yet available.
