DOMAIN FERNERY
ANOTHER DONATION WINTER GARDEN ADDITION In addition to the new section to be added to the winter garden in the Domain as the result of donations previously reported, the City Council was informed last evening that Mr. H. E. Vaile had offered on behalf of himself and others a further sum of £I,OOO towards the cost of a fernery to adjoin the new buildings. The Parks Committee reported the estimated cost of the fernery as £1,500, and the committee considered it could find the remaining £SOO. The offer of the £I,OOO was accepted and the council’s thanks conveyed to the donors.
