INCLUSION OF GERMANY DISCUSSION GOING ON By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright PARIS, Tuesday. A message from Geneva says there are indications that the Mandates Commission will not oppose the enlargement of the commission to include a German representative. It may leave the Council of the League of Nations to thrash out the political aspects, explaining its views on the matter from the technical standpoint and regarding its members as experts and not mouthpieces of their Governments. In reply to a protest from the French Colonial Union to the League against Germany’s election to the commission the Secretary-General of the League, Sir Eric Drummond, suggested that it should be addressed to the Governments concerned, not to the League.—A. and N.Z.
