lAUKANUA UIHLS BtAI ROTORUA Tauranga’s strong forward line gave Rotorua backs a lot of trouble and a little less anxiety in Rotorua’s circle would probably have seen Tauranga win. by a better figure than 2-1. The reds’ back division lacked hitting power and frequently drove the leather back into the hands of the Tauranga forwards instead of clearing to the wings. Tauranga’s left wins spoiled many promising sorties by an overindulgence in off-side play. Hitting the ball too far ahead when making an attack is a serious fault of nearly all the five units of the van. In this way they lose control of the ball and so nullify many promising movements.
