MUNICIPAL BAND

SUNDAY CONCERT A very interesting musical programm A very interesting musical programme will be given by the Municipal Band in the Zoological Park to-morrow afternoon at 2.45. Right fresh from London a new suite: "The Caravan” by Archibald Joyce—will be found full of piquant charm; it is of the “programme” order in three parts—the first depicting the “Caravan Camp in the Desert,” the second the “Camp Attacked by Brigands,” and the third the “Convoy on the March.” Other fine numbers are Mendelssohn’s overture, “A Calm Sea and a Prosperous Voyage,” selection “La Boutique Fantasque,” idyll “In Autumn,” together with bright marches and popular hymn tunes. In the Town Hall on the evening of the same day the band will give a free musical recital when several charming items will be presented.
