RED-LETTER DAY FOR DALGETY, LTD.

MOVE TO NEW OFFICES FIRM OF BIG BUSINESS To-day marks an epoch in the local history of Dalgety and Company, Limited. Less than twenty years ago, the firm opened a small office in Auckland. To-day four sub-branches and 38 agencies take orders from Auckland, while last year the firm handled approximately one-third of the wool trade in the province, and a large portion of the stock, station, and grain business. This afternoon the staff moved into a handsome new four-storeyed structure in Albert Street within 100 yards of THE SUN block. All business will be conducted from this building in the future. In all departments the firm has registered satisfactory progress, but particularly gratifying has been the growth of its wool brokering connection. • From an aggregate catalogue of 150 bales for. the first year of operations in the province, the season just ended saw 15,875 bales pass through the hands of the firm.
