CROQUET

AUCKLAND CLUB The annual meeting of the Auckland Croquet Club was presided over by Mrs. Bell, president. There was a large attendance of members. The treasurer reported a successful financial year. The following officers were elected: President, Mrs. Evans; vice-presidents, Misses Coldicutt and Slator; match committee, Mesdames Stevenson, Bell, Atkin, Rainger and Gould; management committee, Mesdames Atkin, Shanley, Jessop, Hammond and Miss Brown; green superintendent, Miss Coldicut; delegates to Auckland Croquet Association, Mrs. Bell and Miss Slator; hon. auditor, Mr. J. Donald; hon. secretary, Mrs. Keesing; hon. treasurer, Miss Slator. To make dresses hang properly in light materials make two or three small tucks under the arm in front of the bodice, and in heavy materials cut a slit and sew up again.
