ORANGE LODGE

A branch of the Loyal Orange Lodge was opened at the Methodist Hall, Papatoetoe, on Tuesday, June 28. D.G.I.P. Master Worshipful Bro. Tetley, assisted by Worshipful Bro. Arnold, P.D.G. Master and officers of No. 2 District Grand Lodge. The lodges of the Auckland district, both male and female, were well represented. Fourteen foundation members were duly obligated and four new candidates were initiated during the ceremony. The installation ceremony then took place, when the following officers were presented and installed for the ensuing year: Worshipful Master, Wor. Bro. F. W. Fell; Deputy Master, Wor. Bro. R. Johnston: chaplain. Wor. Bro. S. F. Rose: secretary, Bro. W. Heald: treasurer, Wor. Bro. Best: foreman of committee, Wor. Bro. W. Smith: director of ceremonies, Wor. Bro. H. Rutledge; senior deacon, Bro. F. Appleby; junior deacon, Bro. E. Collecutt; inside tyler, Bro. C. Earl: outside tyler. Bro. H. Peoples; committee, Wor. Bros. Rutledge. Best, R.ose and Tetley. After the installation ceremony the assembly adjourned to the supper room where a sumptuous repast was done full justice to, and the usual toasts were honoured with much enthusiasm.
