Well Done, Nora!
WINS £lo PRIZE
SUN’S FOOTBALL COMPETITION
Owing to the unexpected results in Saturday’s football games, our special staff felt quite confident when they tackled the huge heap of envelopes containing coupons received from contestants in THE SUN’S Big Pootbail Competition last week that the £lO prize would not leave the office this week ,but would be bumped up to £2O for next Saturday. However, they received a real surprise, for they found one coupon which was exactly correct and furthermore when they looked down at the name and found it to be a girl, Miss Nora Vincent, c/o Hutchinson Bros., Queen Street. In spite of two drawn games in the Soccer and University’s surprise defeat of Grafton in the Rugby competition, no fewer than 23 competitors had only one result wrong. The competition will be continued this week with the usual list of club fixtures.
