AUCKLAND’S UNEMPLOYED
There is an increase of 48 registrations of the unemployed this week, according to the figures supplied by the Labour Bureau to-day. The applications of men desiring heavy work number 439 as against 419 last week, while men fit for light work total 142, as against 139. Only 30 men were placed in employment during the week, compared with the 55, for whom work was found during the week ending June 18.
