“DRUNK” IN TROUBLE POLICE ADVICE IGNORED Through ignoring Constable Goebel’s advice to go home yesterday afternoon, Charles Erickson, aged 50, appeared at the Police Court this morning find pleaded not guilty to charges of drunkenness and resisting the police. Constable Goebel said that he saw Erickson under the influence of liquor yesterday afternoon and advised him to go home. Erickson refused, and became violent when arrested. Sub-Inspector Lewin said ho had 18 previous convictions. For drunkenness he was fin«?d 10s, and on the other charge 30s, in default three days’ imprisonment.
