the conclusion of the Adams Memorial Gold Cup contest on Wednesday, Mr. H. F. Nicoll, president of the New Zealand Trotting Association, at the invitation of the Auckland Club t performed the ceremony of presenting the handsome trophy to Mr. J. Lynch, owner of the winner, Uncle Bert. Mr. Nicoll referred in complimentary terms to the action of Mrs. L. A. Adams in donating such a valuable cup for competition, and warmly congratulated Mr. Lynch on the success of his representative, and Mrs. Adams handed the gold cup to Uncle Bert’s owner, and on the call of Mr. Nicoll cheers were given for the donor, Mrs. Adams. Uncle Bert, owner Lynch and driver Edwards.
