Horsemanship is second nature to Yakima Canutt, a youth of the prairies. Canutt as a rider is no overnight development. He rode his first contest at the age of 16 and won the country championship at Colfax, Washington. At the age of 20 he rode a tie for the world’s championship. At 21 he won the world’s championship in 1917. In 191 She was in the army and the next year won the Riding Belt. In 1920 he won the bull-dogging championship and the all-round cowboy belt. In 1923 he repeated this achiev?ment and also won the Roosevelt Trophy, which is given for high points in contests at Cheyenne and Pendleton. This champion rider will soon be seen in “The Ridin’ Comet,” a film booking office to be releasedby First National Picture*.
