WORLD’S VAULT RECORD

The world’s pole vault record crashed to the ground .at Philadelphia on the 28th of last month, when Sabin Carr, of Yale University, flung himself over the bar at exactly 14 feet. The old record was held by Charles Hoff, the slim, fair-haired Norwegian, who cleared 13ft 11 13-16 in. in Finland a couple of years ago.
