KING HITS A SIXER
TN England, Tom Lowry never fails to raise a laugh in his after-dinner speeches when he tells the story of the match the N.Z. cricketers played against Rarotonga. “It lasted half an hour,” says Lowry, “and the opposing side consisted of the King of the islands and fifty of his subjects. The king hit a sixer, and we swore eternal friendship. 1 forget who won.”
