TAURANGA BOWLERS

The Tauranga Bowling Club’s annual meeting was held in the Foresters’ Hall, Mr. T. Phillips presiding. The report referred to the past season as a most successful one. A large number of competitions had been carried out. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £BB 14s. Various improvements had been made to the grounds. The officers were elected as follow: —President, Mr. G. W. Henderson; vicepresidents, Messrs. Ivory and Cronin; secretary, Mr. C. Whiting; auditor, Mr. Woollams; executive committee, Messrs. J. A. Guiness, S. Pemberton, R. McKenzie, F. Allely, A. Carew, L. Norris and I. Y. Cameron; match committee, Messrs. J. A. Guiness, Ivory and Cronin; green committee, Messrs. H. A. Sharp, T. Playfair and R. McKenzie; delegates to the Auckland Bowling Centre, Messrs. J. Torrence and T. Schnackenberg. It was decided to send five visiting teams to Auckland in November.
