EDUCATION’S CAUSE
ENTHUSIASTS MEET SCHOOL COMMITTEE WORK At the annual meeting of delegates to the Auckland School Committee’s Association, held last night, the report of the past year’s work was adopted without discussion. The following officers were elected: President. Mr. G. Brownlee; vice-pre-sident, Mr. G. E. Spooner; executive, Messrs. F. W. Brinsden. R. Rew, A. Scot, L. S. Bates, S. E. Chappell, and the Rev. F. Greenwood. The retiring president. Mr. Rew, was accorded a vote of thanks for his services during the year. The executive and secretary, Mr. W. Dixon, were also thanked, for their work. The new president, on taking the chair, said that he had. through his position on the Education Board, been able to do a good deal for schools. Pie would continue to give the best service possible. The association left in the hands of its executive the invitation of the Federated School Committees’ Association to attend a Dominion conference to be held at Wellington on July 15.
