REFEREE’S SUSPENSION

LIFTED BY UNION (From Our Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, Wednesday. The report of the sub-union's delegate to the Wanganui Rugby Union in connection with last year's suspension of R. P. London, referee, and also the correspondence in connection therewith, were submitted to the New Zealand Rugby Union, and placed before the sub-unicn last night, when it was decided to rescind the resolution supporting the Referees' Association. This really means lifting the suspension. The Referees’ Association wanted London to apologise, but the latter absolutely refused, maintaining that he had nothing to apologise for. It is expected the Referees’ Association will automatically recede from the position adopted.
