LABOUR IN ENGLAND

WILL GO BACK STRONGER INCREASE IN LIBERALISM “T ABOUR will go back much stronger at the next general electron at Home; the Liberals will also be. much stronger.” That is the opinion of Mr. F. N. Bartram, M.P. for Grey Lynn, who returned from England yesterday. “The Conservative Government, if not actually beaten, will not be able to do much. The effect of the Trade Unions Bill will consolidate Labour. Now that unionism is being attacked the men are jealous to guard their own interests. The Bill is a vicious principle.” Mr. Bartram will not use the word “dole.” Ho says that it is an insult and describes it as “unemployment insurance.” There is a good deal of unemployment in England, he says, and many are drawing unemployment relief, which undoubtedly has been a gi>eat boon at Home. “Unemployment insurance,” continued Mr. Bartram, “is a legitimate charge on industry.” With all the information which he has gained abroad. Mr. Bartram will have something to tell the House when it sits next week.
