DROWNED OFF TIRI

FIREMAN FALLS OVERBOARD CORONER'S FINDING That Sydney Veale, a fireman on the trawler Countess, met his death through accidentally falling overboard from the vessel while trawling operations were in progress off Tiri, on April 29, was the verdict recorded by the coroner, Mr. W. R. McKean, b’.M., this morning. Alexander Nilsson said Veale fell while emptying a tin of ashes over the bulwarks. The sea was choppy at the time and the man may have been struck by the ship’s propeller.
