STILL GOING STRONG
At the Nelson Jockey Club fixture of 1921, “Abaydos” saw the easy victory of a three-year-old filly in the Wai-iti Trot, of one and a half miles, and was impressed with the manner the young pacer did its work. The winner had travelled a long way to attend the meeting and, although there were four heats Sandwiched in the racing card, and a day’s trotting as well, the visitor was only engaged in the one event. The filly, who haiied from the Auckland district, and raced in the nomination of A. Paul and was confidently driven by F. Monk, was none other than' Lady Dunmore. whose stirprise victory in the Cornwall Handicap on Saturday is now history. Since that sunnv dav in March six years aao the daughter of Specialist—Miss Dunmore has won many a good race, and judgino by her high-class display on Saturday she is like Johnny Walker.
