Edmund Lowe plays the role of Sim Paris, the visionary whose search for the “Purpose” behind the scheme of things provides the plot of the story. Holmes Herbert is the downtrodden brother. Charles, who finally kills himself when all of his dreams come tumbling down about his ears. Huntley Gordon is Andrew, the eldest brother, whose high finance almost ruins the lives of his entire family. Lila Lee, May Allison and Jane Novak have the featured female roles. Others in the cast are Emily Fitzroy, Frank Elliott, Pat Somerset, George Irving, Josef Swikard, Xicolas Sousanni, and Tom Maguire.
