WILL TAMAKI JOIN THE CITY?

POLL ON WEDNESDAY Whether the Road District is to amalgamate with Auckland City will be decided by a poll of the ratepayers on Wednesday. In the meantime, meetings have been arranged by those favouring the union, and will be held this evening at the Peerless Theatre, St Heliers, and Grey’s Hall, Kohimarama. The former meeting will be addressed by Mr. M. J. Coyle, a member of the City Council, and by Mr. W. J. Holdsworth, chairman of the Auckland Electric Power Board. At Kohimarama the meeting will be addressed by Messrs T. Rloodworth and Coyle Mr. Coyle will deal particularly with the advantages held by Point Chevalier since its amalgamation with the city.
