KAWARAU CLAP-HOLDERS NEW DREDGE PRGFCSSD /From Our Own Correspondent.) DUNEDIN, To-day. Claim-holders at Kawarau are urging an amalgamation of interests with a view to purchasing an £IB,OOO dredge. Options over a complete dredge have been secured by the Lady Ranfurly Company, but if the scheme is carried out, pontoons will have to be built in Dunedin. The proposed dredge will have a ladder of 90ft., 20ft. longer than that of the record gold-earning dredge, Lady Ranfurly, which was destroyed by fire some years ago. The new dredge will be designed to work the banks when the river is high.
