SCHOOL COMMITTEES

ASSOCIATION’S ANNUAL REPORT There are now 97 school committees, including 26 city and suburban, affiliated to the Primary School Committees’ Association, according to the annual report to be presented at the meeting on June 22. During the year a deputation, consisting of several members of the executive, w’aited on the Minister of Education, and brought the following subjects before him; Subsidy for association, writing in public schools, school stationery, teaching of swimming. school staffing, school committees’ allowances. The deputation was well received by the Minister, and the association received a courteous reply. With the hundred mark in view of affiliated school committees, the coining year promises well, concludes the report.
