£5,000 TENDER

WAR MUSEUM FLOORINGS INSTITUTE SELECTS COVERINGS 'T’HE firm of Tonson Garlick, Ltd., were the successful tenderers for supplying and laying floor coverings at the Auckland War Memorial Museum. The tender approximated £5.288. The council of the Auckland* Institute and Museum made this decision at a special meeting yesterday. The coverings selected will be mottled brown in shade, with black borders which will run round the halls and along the showcases. They will be in harmony with the black marble skirting of the halls and cases. The council also considered the report of the committee appointed to call tenders for showcases. Decision in this connection, however, was reserved pending the receipt of additional information.
