KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR (From Our Oicn C-zrrßSpondent.) HAMILTON, To-day. Sitting at Hamilton yesterday. Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., gave judgment in the case of Miss Catherine Hayes against Rupert Worley, bofough engineer, in which a claim was made for £ll9 19s for damages sustained in a motor collision. Mis s B!ayes was knocked down by defendant's ear when crossing Bridge Street. Hamilton, on October 4, 1926. The magistrate, after hearing evidence at great length, said it was clear that defendant was on the wrong side of the road, and gave judgment for £52 12s, including £42 general damages, but he held that the damage suffered was magnified.
