Entries Closed To-Day No More Photographs PELECTING SEMI-FINALISTS rpHE “Miss New Zealand 1927” competition closed at noon today simultaneously throughout the Dominion. No more photographs or entry forms will be received by THE SUN. The Auckland judges will meet at the Hotel Cargen to-morrow with candidates for the purpose of selecting eight semi-finalists. The 16 selected semi-finalists will 'subsequently appear in leading Auckland theatres. “Miss Auckland” and her Maid-of-Honour have yet to be selected. “Miss Auckland” will, of course, compete against "Miss Wellington,’ “Miss Christchurch” and “Miss Dunedin,” all of whom have yet to be selected. “Miss New Zealand 1927” will be chosen from among these girls. Her reward will include a trip to Hollywood and back. The expenses of a chaperon will likewise be paid.
