REPORT a cruel hoax abandonment of search QUEBEC, Wednesday. ■A report was in circulation to-day ‘hat the French airmen, Captain Nun*eßßer and Lieutenant Coli, who left aris on May 1) to attempt to fly to had b een found alive. The rumour came from River rJJJd, the north country. It is now Relieved to have been a hoax perpetrated by a clerk at a timber mill in ‘he Quebec forests. ‘VI. e fforts to confirm the message, thi ' * 8 Ba *d to have been sent by his clerk to his mother in Quebec, have failed. The Provincial Government thereore announces the end of the search t the area indicated, which was carried out by airmen.—A. and
