JHE flames sprang from a tool cupboard in which was also kept a small quantity of lubricating oil, and the wooden staircase and some of the beams of the second floor were soon ablaze. The City Brigade answered the call promptly and put the Are out with extinguishers. The staircase and some beams were charred and tools were destroyed. “No benzine was kept in the cupboard and I cannot understand what caused the Are,” said Mr. W. J. Rushton.
