DAIRY MANAGERS
MEET AT PALMERSTON THE HOLIDAY QUESTION Pres& Association. PALMERSTON N., Thursday. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Dairy Factory Managers' Association the report recorded a satisfactory financial position and a revival of interest in the Auckland district; also an advance in the quality of butter and cheese. Officers elected were: Messrs. G. Woods (Taranaki Provincial Executives), E. Petersen (Auckland), E. Hall (Manawatu), A. Inglis (Taranaki), W. Delahunty (Hawke's Bay), R. Foss (Bush District). J Middleton (South Island). J Brash (Walrarapa). Mr. A. F. Neilson was appointed secretary. A remit from Taranaki, urging monthly instead of fortnightly holidays, was discussed and it was decided to request the factories to view sympathetically the hardships in this connection inflicted on managers under the award.
