OPOTIKI HOSPITAL

The secretary of the Opotiki Hospital Board states that the appeal for funds to install the X-ray in the Opotiki Hospital has been very successful. The amount handed in to date is £232. Several other returns have yet to come to hand and these are expected to bring the amount of the appeal up to £SOO. With the sum of over £2OO, which has been held for some considerable time, and the Government subsidy, the total is expected to reach £1,400. This amount will be easily sufficient for the erection of a suitable room and the purchase of a first-class X-ray apparatus.
