WAIKATO RATES

STRUCK FOR YEAR (From Our Own Cot'respondent.) HAMILTON, Thursday. Waikato City Council yesterday struck the following rates for 1927-28: Ruakura, Rototuna and Taupiri ridings, a general rate of lid in the £; Huntly riding, a general rate of 2d in the £, special rates on all loans raised in the district to be collected; Cambridge riding, a general rate of 3-8 d in the £, and a special rate of 3-Sd in the £ over the area of the riding severed from the Piako County under the Act of 1921: a general rate of lid in the £ over the Te Miro outlying district: Tamahere and Whangamarino ridings, a general rate of 3-Sd in the £ ; Hopu Hopu drainage area, a special rate on lands Classified A of 5-Sd in the £: lands sified B, id in the £ : a separate rate for maintenance of 3-8 d in the £ on lands classified A and Id on lands classified B.
