HANDICAP COMPETITIONS
LADIES’ GOLF TOURNEY A bogey competition played yesterday afternoon at Middlemore resulted in a tie between Misses K. and IA Horton, of Titirangi, both 1 down* Miss K. Uortc. n won the play-off. Had Miss D. Horton been able to count lief morning score*, when she defeated Mrs* Marshall in the championship, she would have been 3 up. Mrs. R. D. Wright and Mrs. Bradley, each 3 up. tied in the B grade, and Mrs. Wright won the play-off. An approaching and putting competition was won by Miss P. Hamlin.
The following tied for first place in a putting competition:—Mrs Robertson, Mrs. J. Wilson, Miss Lever. Miss T* Bayly and Miss K. Fouhy. The playoff will take place to-day. In the play-off for the tie in Tuesday’s putting competition Mrs. Dufauf defeated Mrs. J. Wilson.
The tournament is running very smoothly owing to the excellent nr« rangements made by Miss X. M.icCor* mick, secretary of the Auckland Ladies' Club.
