Miss Chrystall Leads

LADIES’ GOLF TITLE QUALIFYING ROUND PLAY IN GOOD CONDITIONS Yesterday afternoon, when the second qualifying round was played, saw little improvement in the scoring in spite of the excellent conditions ruling. Miss Chrystall held the leading place with ease, and did an S 4. One bad hole spoilt the round, this being the fourth, where she pushed her second into the rough by the ditch, when she had a good chance of striking the green. This eventually cost her several strokes, but in the main she was playing very well. Mrs. Deighton improved her first round by six strokes, and was most at sea on the greens. Miss E. Culling, defender of the title, qualified well up in the list, and should have done so, considering that only a few of the competitors have any pretentions to being in the championship class.
