Explosion!

MAN SERIOUSLY HURT FULL CHARGE IN THE FACE WHILE workinct in a nuarry yesterday, Daniel Barry, of Titoki Street, Banniu.-c, eceived the full force on an explosion in his face. He fas taken to the Auckland Hospital after being attended by Dr, K. F. Gordon, of Ellerslie. Barry’s condition is serious. He is suffering from severe shock, as well as injuries to the face and body. The injured man was working alone at the time of the mishap. He was engaged in blasting rock, near Panmure. Apparently the explosion took place before he could get out of the way.
