Welstedd, business agent, Auckland Railways, returned from Wellington by the Limited this morning. yesterday Mr. Justice Reed, on the motion of Mr. C. O. Mahoney, admitted Mr. A. P. King as a solicitor of the Supreme Court. Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Leadley returned this morning from a trip to the Islands. They will leave for Christchurch by the Limited this evening. Mr. P. L>. X. Verschaffelt, Public Service Commissioner, who has been visiting Auckland, returned to Wellington last evening. Dr. E. Marsden, secretary of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, was a passenger for Wellington by the Limited last evening. Mr. J. F. Maekley, locomotive engineer, Auckland Railways, left for Wellington by the Limited last evening to attend a conference of engineers. The Hon. R. F. Bollard, Minister of Internal Affairs, joined the Limited at Taumarunui last evening en route to Wellington. Mr. Guy Taylor, manager of the Hamilton North branch of the Bank of New Zealand, returned this morning by the Tofua from the Islands. He is accompanied by Mrs. Taylor. The Right Rev. L. S. Kempthorne, Bishop of Polynesia, arrived by the Tofua from Fiji this Morning. He left later by H.M.S. Diomede for the South Seas, where he will visit many of the islands iri his Diocese.
